ABOUT THE COURSE
The focus of this course is to introduce educators to a variety of printmaking techniques that can be incorporated into school art programs at various levels. Throughout the course class participants will learn basic procedural information relating to a variety of relief printing processes, monoprinting, screenprinting, and photocopy transfers, with an emphasis on nontoxic materials. Each process will be broken down to encompass methods that can be accomplished successfully with or without the use of a press. Participants will learn basic techniques through step-by-step demonstrations, hands-on technical exercises and viewing examples of artwork. Information sheets, troubleshooting guides and supplier lists for the processes covered in each module will be distributed.
