Celeste Toogood
My intention is to present a viewpoint of the Canadian landscape in a period of redefinition and massive environmental change. The measure of time involved in the forming of the Canadian Shield is in my mind magical. It will not change much over the next millennium, but the plant material and creatures living on the surface undoubtedly will.Contained within this vast space of rock inhabited by trees and moss lies time. I am interested in exploring the relationships that these elements have with each other.

The images are screen printed in layers and highlighted with brushed ink washes.
