Contemporary -  Nadine Bariteau
Nadine Bariteau
Drawing inspiration from specific relationships between natural and man-made environments, I exploit the concept of multiplicity and reproduction in relation to printmaking in order to emphasize the idea of repetitive flow production or, the mass fabrication of standardized products. In my artistic practice I incorporate printmaking, video, photography, sculpture and installation. The idea of scale and or quantity is predominant in my installation work. I wish to create a visual impact by highlighting that which, on the surface, may appear to be mundane aspects of our everyday lives.

My reflection also focuses on the paradoxical tension between permanence and the ephemeral. I seek to evoke the ever-changing passage of time as separate intervals of experience in order to bring attention to the non-permanence of life.
